Community donates more than $1 million to Season of Sharing campaign

About a month into the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s annual Season of Sharing campaign, the community already has donated more than $1 million to the cause of helping families and individuals facing financial crisis in Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto and Charlotte counties.
The community’s fundraising triggered another $100,000 donation from The Patterson Foundation to the campaign, totaling $200,000 donated from the foundation in a matter of weeks.
The Patterson Foundation contributed its first $100,000 donation to the 2020-2021 Season of Sharing campaign just days after the campaign kicked off in mid-November.
