With a growing staff of 29 dedicated individuals, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County fosters a corporate culture based on respect, trust, passion for our work, and seven core values that every member of our team embodies:

In addition to these values, we recognize the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a guiding philosophy for building relationships internally and across the community.

Our motto — “Be the One” — reflects our deeply-held belief that anyone can be a philanthropist and give back to our community, regardless of means. While not required, our staff create Donor-Advised Funds to give back in their own meaningful way. The “giving” mentality runs deep within our organization: We truly care about our community.

Just as we listen to the needs of our community and donors, so too do we respond proactively to our employees, encouraging the development of not only professional skills, but also wellbeing and sense of purpose. Our Leadership Team is both dedicated to and supportive of team initiatives and promotes open communication across departments and titles while motivating staff to maximize their potential.

While we work and perform as dedicated professionals, we strive to provide a family-like atmosphere that is sensitive and responsive to our team’s personal aspirations and work-life balance.
