General Counsel
The general counsel is a member of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County leadership team, responsible for providing legal guidance and opinions to leadership and staff on a variety of foundation issues, including planning and implementing operational policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The incumbent reviews all contractual agreements entered into by the foundation, assesses potential reputational and organizational risks for the foundation, maintains relationships with professional advisors (particularly estate planning attorneys) and donors, and ensures donor fund agreements fully reflect donor intentions and are able to be effectively managed and implemented throughout the organization via internal controls and processes.
Philanthropic Advisor
The philanthropic advisor develops trusted, long-term relationships with existing donors, prospective donors, financial advisors, and the community at large, helping to align philanthropic intentions with charitable giving opportunities available through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
