The Sarasota County Bar Association through its Council for Diversity and Inclusion is proud to announce its 2020 scholarship fundraising campaign – “Faces of Change.”
Since 2007, the Richard R. Garland Endowed Diversity Scholarship Program has provided over $130,000 in scholarships to minority law school students. All scholarship recipients are mentored and encouraged to return to the Sarasota community for future employment upon graduation. These students are, indeed, the “Faces of Change” for the Sarasota legal community – future advocates, counselors, judges, mediators, and community leaders.
This year, thanks to the leadership of SCBA Member and Past President Chip Gaylor and Attorney David Steves, both of Muirhead, Gaylor, Steves & Waskom, all contributions made before March 15, 2021, will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $50,000) by the H. Gladstone and Betty Pritchard McKeon Charitable Foundation and the William and Mary Muirhead Foundation.
If you make your gift before March 15, 2021, you will double the impact of your donation! Help reach this fundraising goal of $100,000 for the Faces of Change in the Sarasota legal community.
