What Kirsten does at the Foundation
Kirsten is the Director of Community Investment for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Working with the Senior Vice President of Community Investment, she focuses on the Foundation’s two-generation initiative, creating opportunities for and addressing needs of both vulnerable children and their parents together. A key component of this work is the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, a national effort to ensure that all children read on grade-level by the end of grade three. Her passion for this works stems from her belief that all children can succeed if given the opportunity.

She was an initiative consultant for the Foundation for several years before joining the staff in December of 2017. Kirsten has a diverse professional background including being a vice president of client development for a Fortune 500 firm and the publisher of a local business magazine.
