The Community Foundation of Sarasota County will once again serve as Presenting Sponsor for The Venice Symphony's Patriotic Pops Concert on Memorial Day 2024 weekend, as we celebrate American ideals and remember those who have fought for liberty.

"We're proud to bring this important event to the community and support our veterans again this year with a 'Salute to Our Heroes,'" said Christine Kasten, president and CEO of The Venice Symphony. "We're so grateful for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County's latest investment in our mission to transform lives through exceptional musical experiences."

The fifth annual Patriotic Pops Concert

which will cap the Symphony's 50th season will take place at CoolToday Park, located in the new Wellen Park community in south Sarasota County. This multi-generational extravaganza is open to the public, and an audience of 5,000 is expected to attend.

New patriotic favorites and traditional classics will be performed by The Venice Symphony and special guests. All branches of the U.S. Armed Forces will be recognized through a beloved medley that has become a crowd favorite.

Funding for the event is provided by the Martha Leiter and Nancy Streetman Fund II, the John and Tanya Sandefur Foundation, and the John J. Clopine Fund, all of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

"It's only through the support of organizations like the Community Foundation and the generosity of our donors that we are able to continue provide these superior musical experiences," Kasten said.
