2025 Year-End Giving Deadlines Are Approaching

The end of 2025 is right around the corner, as are deadlines for charitable giving. Here are dates to keep in mind as the year winds down:

Cash Donations

  • IRA rollover checks must be received no later than Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.
  • Checks sent via FedEx must be physically received at our office on or before Friday, Dec. 26, 2025.
  • Credit card contributions made through our website should be completed by Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Checks sent via the U.S. Postal Service must be postmarked on or before Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.

Gifts Related to Stock Gifts and Mutual Funds

These should be coordinated through Controller Julie Avins (941-556-7136, javins@cfsarasota.org). Other non-cash year-end gifts must be discussed no later than Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.

IRA Gifts, Real Estate Gifts, and Assignments of Business Interests

These should be coordinated through Chief Financial Officer Erin Jones (941-556-7144, ejones@cfsarasota.org). Qualified appraisals will be required for all non-cash gifts of $5,000 or more.
