Angelica Hull

Angelica Hull believes that working with children and families is crucial to growing a strong and interconnected community and she has spent her career removing barriers to access in the arts, museums, and nonprofits. She grew up in Sarasota and through her work she strives to make this the best possible community in which to live and raise a family.

Angelica holds an MA in the History of Art and Architecture from Boston University and a BA with majors in Anthropology, Art History, and Classics and minors in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami. She began her career in museum education at the Miami Children’s Museum, where she designed programs for families and piloted the museum’s first program for children with special needs. She took this passion up to Boston where she worked with the accessibility team at the Museum of Science, Boston while also pursuing a master’s degree. She returned to Sarasota in 2015 to facilitate family programs at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. This role allowed her to build community partnerships and introduced her to the diverse nonprofit sector of Sarasota. Her interest in community connectedness led her to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County in 2019.

Outside of work, Angelica enjoys exploring the ever-changing landscape of Sarasota with her husband and their black lab, Beau. Angelica is also an avid hiker and has completed both the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu in Peru and the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage across Spain.
