Season of Sharing gives relief to mom who searches for medical answers

For two years, Carmen Valencia has been searching for answers about her daughter’s health. Searching for those answers has left the single mother of three in the throes of a repeating cycle of financial struggles.

Sister Ann De Nicolo, the director of prevention support services in Arcadia for the Diocese of Venice’s Catholic Charities program, assisted Valencia with her past-due water bill and car payments with Season of Sharing dollars this fall. De Nicolo said she grew to know Valencia as a hard worker who is trying her best to do "all that she can" for her young girl.
