Season of Sharing: Family is thankful for a second shot at life

After a three-month stay in a Port Charlotte hospital, unconsciously suffering from the coronavirus, Mariano Perez is back at his house at Casa San Juan Bosco Homes in Arcadia, past the cow spotted fields and air that smells like grass and smoke.

Season of Sharing stepped in September to pay one month of rent for the family, about $311, said Sister Ann De Nicolo, the director of prevention support services in Arcadia for the Diocese of Venice’s Catholic Charities program.
