Jamie Kattrein joined the Community Foundation of Sarasota County as a Director of Community Impact in May 2022. In this role, she manages a portfolio of grants and initiatives in various sectors with a focus on education, arts, and humanities. She leads the foundation’s two-generation approach and works with organizations to develop opportunities that benefit and support the whole family.

Prior to joining the Community Impact team at CFSC, Jamie served as the Vice President of Programs at Girls Inc. of Sarasota County. In this role, Jamie cultivated partnerships with schools, organizations, and parents to create intentional programming to support education, mental health, and post-secondary success.

She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy with a focus on poverty alleviation from Brandeis University and worked at Homes for Families, a Boston-based advocacy organization that amplified the voices of parents in strengthening state policies. Jamie is a proud AmeriCorps Alumni and performed her service at Communities in Schools where she coordinated programs for Title 1 Schools and developed strong relationships with diverse communities.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys all things outdoors, especially when spent with her husband and two young children. You can usually find them at the local Farmer’s Market, exploring parks and restaurants, or taking advantage of our beautiful beaches.
