Suncoast Humane Society Gets $4,000 Donation From Community Foundation of Sarasota County

The Suncoast Humane Society received a $4,000 “unrestricted grant” from the James W. Wherritt Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

The Suncoast Humane Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “encourage, honor, and support the human-animal bond” by doing things like providing shelter and affordable prevention services for the most vulnerable animals, ongoing support for pets, and more.

Humane Society staff, in a news release, stated that the “generous support” provides the nonprofit “flexibility” to address the most pressing needs.
