Marlo Turner, CFRE

Marlo Turner, CFRE, is Senior Vice President of Philanthropy at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

As a member of senior staff, Marlo oversees all facets of the philanthropy team, working with prospective and current donors to connect them with the causes they are most passionate about to ensure their philanthropic goals are accomplished in our community.

Before joining the Community Foundation family, Marlo was the Director of Development for the Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has over 20 years of experience in the development field for social service organizations, museums and prestigious education institutions, such as Oklahoma State University Foundation and the Jenks Public Schools Foundation. At the Oklahoma State University Foundation, she was instrumental in assisting with opening the University’s Tulsa branch campus and was a member of the senior team for the University’s campaign to raise $1 Billion for their campaign “Branding Success.”

Marlo obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University, has a certificate in Fundraising Management from the Fundraising School at Indiana University, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
