Loveland Center is proud to announce that the Community Foundation of Sarasota County has awarded a $4,000 unrestricted grant through the James J. Wherritt Charitable Fund. The grant will support Loveland Center’s ongoing efforts to provide programs, services, and individualized support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in South Sarasota County.
The grant provides Loveland Center with flexible funding to respond to emerging needs and strengthen the programs and services available to the individuals and families it serves.
Loveland Center currently supports more than 375 adults in South Sarasota County with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Its services are designed to meet people where they are and provide meaningful opportunities for individuals with a diverse range of abilities, including those with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“We are deeply grateful to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for this generous investment in Loveland Center and the people we serve,” said Patrick Guerin III, President and CEO of Loveland Center. “Unrestricted support gives us the ability to adapt to emerging needs that arise and strengthen our programs and services.”
