Booker High students receive $50,000 college grant

A $50,000 grant recently awarded to the Booker Promise Foundation will provide scholarships covering tuition and registration fees for 14 Booker High School students.
The grant, which came from the Allen Wirtz Nobbe and Jo Bowen Nobbe Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, will be matched by Stanley G. Tate Florida Prepaid College Foundation.
