Madeline Hansen is the Manager of Nonprofit Services on the Community Impact Team. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of nonprofit trainings and educational opportunities offered by the Community Foundation.
While originally from Minnesota, Madeline has always loved the sea. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies and Hispanic Studies from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN, she was drawn to Sarasota to work as an intern for Mote’s Sea Turtle Conversation and Research Program. During her time as an intern, Madeline fell in love with the Sarasota community and relocated to the area in 2014. Before joining the Community Foundation in July of 2017, Madeline worked in the world of experiential learning and has taught a variety of subjects from the anatomy of sharks to programming robots. While she no longer teaches robotics, she finds enjoyment in offering professional development opportunities to our nonprofit community.
When she’s not at work, Madeline enjoys hiking, kayaking, and volunteering.
