Lindsey Masterson is Manager of Scholarships and Grants at the Community Foundation. She is responsible for managing the operations and delivery of the Foundation’s scholarships program and also supports other Foundation grants, initiatives, and programs.
Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.) and a minor in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Arts (A.M.) from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration with a focus in Organizations and Management and Community Planning, Organizing, and Development. Lindsey also has earned several certifications. She is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (C.N.P.) and holds a certificate in Volunteer Management, as well as B.S.W. certificates in Children’s Services and Addictions.
Lindsey is a Sarasota native who has enjoyed working with diverse populations in West Palm Beach, Miami, Orlando, Panama City, and Chicago over the past several years. Prior to her return to Sarasota to join the Community Foundation in late 2018, Lindsey served in various roles at organizations including Community Organizing & Family Issues (C.O.F.I.), Developing Communities Project, Open Hearts Family Services, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, and Public Allies of Central Florida, among others. With this range of experience, Lindsey is thrilled to pursue her passion for being a part of positive change within individuals, families, organizations, and our Sarasota community, as a whole.
Lindsey enjoys spending quality time with her parents and two God-daughters who live in the area. She is looking forward to re-connecting with the local community and exploring all of the new adventures Sarasota has to offer.
