Ashley Brockway is the Data Analytics Intern at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. In this role, Ashley is responsible for providing guidance and recommendations for numerous foundation projects using data interpretation and analysis, working alongside the Community Project Manager for Knowledge and Equity.
Ashley is currently a second-year Data Science Graduate student pursuing a Master’s in Science at the New College of Florida, an institute she previously graduated from in 2019 with a B.A. in Economics. Citing her graduate program’s culture of collaboration, Ashley values working through large problems efficiently and effectively as a group. Further underscoring this, as an undergraduate she served as a student writing assistant, educating her peers about storytelling and learning strategies.
A Florida native, Ashley was raised in Gainesville and competed in synchronized swimming meets while growing up, a sport that helped cultivate her sense of community and foster connections with past and present swimmers across the state. Fun fact: It was at one such meet when she first visited Sarasota. When she is not driven by her passion to use data for social good, she enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and solving Rubiks Cubes.
