Residents in our community have many choices about where to use their time, talent and treasure. The Giving Partner helps donors make more informed decisions about giving based on in-depth information provided by local nonprofits.
The Giving Partner is an online tool populated with in-depth information about more than 700 charitable organizations serving Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. Nonprofits voluntarily upload information into the tool and update it annually. Each nonprofit profile includes the 501(c)(3) organization’s legal name and information about its core mission, programmatic impact, governance, management and financials. There is no grading, rating or certification of nonprofits, but the “Reviewed by Your Community Foundation” icon associated with a profile means that the organization answered each required question and key information was validated by foundation staff.
Online profiles at www.thegivingpartner.org help local funders, donors and citizen philanthropists understand more about nonprofit organizations' work in the community, along with the organization's needs, financial history, governing body and management structure.
